Kristi Logan, LPC, RPT, NCC

Kristi is a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with young people. She is a Registered Play Therapist and National Certified Counselor. Kristi was born and raised in Georgia. She has over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents as a counselor in the school setting. She enjoys exploring the beauty of nature by hiking and kayaking, and has a very sweet black Labrador, Shadow.

Kristi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education from the University of Georgia, her Master’s degree in School Counseling from Georgia State University, and her Specialist in Education degree in School Counseling from the University of Georgia.

Like adults, children and adolescents experience interpersonal, emotional and behavioral difficulties often as a result of stress. Kristi uses creative therapeutic interventions to help young people better express themselves and resolve their problems. Utilizing a developmental and collaborative approach, she integrates play, sandtray, and expressive therapies to help children and teens move forward and reach their goals. Since young children are not well suited for talk therapy due to early stages of development or trauma, Kristi therapeutically uses play to reach the child in their “language”. By developing a trusting relationship, teens can be empowered to face their negative, self-defeating thoughts and change them to a more positive outlook. Ultimately, Kristi shows her clients genuine care and interest, provides a safe place for sharing, and strives to help her clients achieve optimal growth and development.
